J.R.D 'Jeh' Tata, was not just the company’s, but India’s most prolific chairman. From being crowned the Father of Indian Aviation, to being awarded India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, J.R.D Tata was and still is an inspiration to many.

He was well known for his handwritten letters. In his time, he wrote more than 40,000 letters. Which over the years have become a rare, yet meaningful part of Indian history and culture.

We combed through 10,000 of those rare letters, to create a typeface called ‘The Jeh Font’ that accurately recreated his unique penmanship. By resurrecting his handwritten script as a digital font, we made his letters and legacy available to millions of fans to create personalised mementoes, 27 years after his passing.

The Jeh Font was hosted on the official Tata website. The 7-day launch campaign went live on all of Tata’s social media platforms.
